I'm Beanz.I've spent 20 years running service businesses, and I now run mine with AI. Here's what I've learned, in plain English. About me →

Tools compared

Which one for office work?

ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: a fair way to compare emails, quotes and meeting notes for your business.

Mr Beanz thinking it through

Choose the job before choosing the badge. A tool that writes a pleasant email might struggle with the spreadsheet behind the quote. A tool that handles a long document well might take more effort than you need for a three-line reply.

Give all three the same work

Take an old email, a finished quote and a set of meeting notes. Remove private details. Write one brief for each job, with the same source material and the same definition of a useful result.

  • Email: does it answer the actual question, sound like your business and avoid inventing commitments?
  • Quote: does it keep the scope, exclusions, quantities and figures correct?
  • Meeting notes: does it distinguish a decision from a suggestion, and leave unknown owners or dates unknown?

Check the model as well as the app

Product plans, model access and connected tools change. Before comparing outputs, note the model and settings each product actually used. The model guide explains the difference between the engine and the app.

Score the editing, not just the answer

Give each result a pass or fail for factual accuracy, completeness and usefulness. Then record how many minutes it takes you to turn it into something you would approve. Repeat on a few jobs, including an awkward one.

Keep a person accountable

For the first trial, have the tool prepare a draft and a person approve it. Do not connect customer accounts or enable automatic sending just to find out whether you like the writing.

There is no published head-to-head test result from me here yet. This comparison gives you a repeatable way to choose for your own office. Pick the tool that does your work well and is easy for your team to review.
